Dd1 has toothache. I have no Calpol left only regular Nurofen and paracetamol, but for some reason only known to Dh they are boxless and therefore instructionless.

I'd give half a paracetamol but leave the nurofen.

Thank you. Will give paracetamol. She is not in enough pain to not want to eat easter eggs, so the tears could well be forced Hmm

Co-op paracetamol 500mg callers say 1/2 to 1 tablet for 6-12 year olds every 4 hours max four tablets in 24hrs

Bumply · 10/05/2011 16:22

DooinMeCleanin · 10/05/2011 16:22

How much does she weigh......in kilos.

1/2 a standard paracetamol tablet is the same as 5mls of calpol 6 plus so perfectly safe

TrillianAstra · 12/05/2011 21:32

Calpol 6+ says 1-2 5ml spoons, which equates to 1/2-1 paracetamol tablets.

It's exactly the same stuff, just minus the pink gloop.

If you would give her 2 spoons, give her a whole tablet (if she can swallow it).

TrillianAstra · 12/05/2011 21:34

Hmm, that also means that if I want an adult dose of paracetamol I could take it as 4 spoons of calpol 6+, yum! :)
