she got sort of thrown into the air as two dogs ran into her.shes got swollen check,cut/fat lip, cuts and grazes over both arm and one leg, chin and cheek.
the nurse said to keep an eye on one of her arms and her cheek as they were worried about broken bonesand to go back if worried.
shes now saying her arms really hurting and its more swollen but is that because of the bruising?
should i take her back?

Absolutely take her back. The fact that the nurse has said that there is a concern means you should take her back as YOU are now concerned. Better to be safe than sorry. The only thing you'll lose is time - and that's nothing compared to your child's health... Good luck and hope it isn't broken.

ok thanks.shes not screaming in pain or anything.but she never complains, moans etc so the fact that shes 'owwing' and saying it hurts means it must hurt!iyswim

If either a receptionist or nurse in triage get funny about it having happened yesterday - don't forget to make it quite clear that you were told to bring her back if it got any worse. Sometimes, especially if they have had a hectic day, some individuals can get quite shirty - but you are not in the wrong. Hope she's ok - let us know how you get on.

Children can get greenstick fractures where the bone has a crack rather than completely broken. DS1 had this when he fell awkwardly on his elbow whilst at after school club. Best to get it checked out.

thanks.i phoned minor injuries and they said take her back.they still werent sure but put it in a sling and said if we went for xray(didnt have one at that hospital at that time)and it did have a break then because its bank holiday weekend theyd just put it in a sling anyway and refer her to fracture clinic.so they said if still worried after weekend to take her to hospital with xray.anyway, shes been moving it so think its fine.
