Slapped cheek, what to do

My DD (age 3) has been off colour for a few days, sore throat, bad tummy, slight temp and very tired and grumpy

She's woken this morning with a classic slapped cheek rash

We are having a birthday party for her and DS (5) on saturday, 20+ children coming ranging from 12 months to 10 years old

Will she be contagious still at the weekend or can she go to the party? DH can stay at home with her if need be

Good info at NHS choices here

Seems to say that if she has the rash now it is unlikely that she will still be contagious by the weekend.

Thanks for that chocolate lover. I had found that page, but still wasn't sure. Looks like we're all good then! She actually seems better in herself today, so hopefully she'll be better in a couple of days

Good she is feeling better, iirc dd1 seemed better once the rash appeared. I felt vv guilty as when she had been ill in the buildup I had dismissed her as cranky Blush

Hope she continues to improve.

I think we're all guilty of that Choc. We've just got back from a week away, was pretty stressful after having a bump with our caravan (go take a see at my profile pic, it was a bit scary) so we just put it down to post-hols blues and said she was just being cranky lol.
