6 mo bringing up all her milk, but not usually a sicky baby

This may be a bit rambling but I'll try and give all the info.

DD2 is 6 mo and keeps bringing up her milk, not posseting but literally emptying her stomach. Over the past week this has been happening once or twice every day or every other day. She doesn't seem that unwell with it, or at least she didn't until this morning, when she has woken up phlegmy and her chest is a bit rattly (however the sickness has been going on for a about a week).

When she is sick she is coughing and coughing up her milk, but I'm not sure if the coughing is making her sick or if she is coughing because she needs to be sick.

I wouldn't be so worried but she was doing the same about 3 weeks ago when she did have a really bad cough and a bit of a temp, she was sick every night for 4 or 5 days. I took her to the dr who didn't seem to think there was anything wrong with her.

I also took her again this week (to another dr) as on top of the being sick she had a really gunky eye. He gave us some drops for her eyes but again didn't seem to think there was anything else wrong, he said it was probably just catarrh. He is probably right but she seems pretty under the weather today and this seems to have been going on for ages. Is it just catarrh that is finally coming out? Should I be worried.

I know it seems precious, but unless they have sickness bugs neither of my babies have really been sick so it is worrying me a little.

I would take her to an urgent care centre (we have them by us and they are run by nurses - open every day including weekends-can take ages to be seen) - sometimes nurse know more than Doctors. If they are concerned they will send you to the hopital

Sometimes you feel guilty if you keep going back to the Dr - my daughter would get a rash when she had an infection and my son would get conjuntivitus when he was ill.

On this one let yourself worry - you know your kids better than other people - so you know whats wierd for your kids.

firstly if she's taking less than half her normal feeds, she should be seen on that basis alone.

chesty cough is one thing, and it's common for wee ones to bring up feeds when they have catarrh but with a temp, vomiting and a cough, she should also been seen today.

rattly chest/noisy breathing with temp could be sign of chest infection and with vomiting it's best to rule out pneumonia. normally temp would be very high with that though but not always.

My DS has had a really nasty cold which has a) descended to his chest so he sicks up phlegm and b) resulted in a secondary bacterial infection in his eye.

Watch the eye infection like a hawk. If there is any redness around the eye it could be cellulitis and your baby will need oral antibiotics to clear it up.

Thanks for the messages she doesn't have a temp now, though she did when she was doing the same 3 weeks ago. She doesn't seem accutely unwell, iykwim? Just a little coldy. I'm more worried that the sickness is a sign of something else. I'll see how she goes today. I'm feeding her in the cradle position today, rather than lying down, to see if that helps by not being on her back.
