we arrived in the French alps Saturday evening having travelled by train. Sunday was skiing in the sunshine, lovely lovely quite rich food in our catered chalet Sunday and Monday, Monday more skiing but in the rain!

DS woke up this morning feeling off colour and has spent the day laying on the sofa being sick at intervals. He has only bought up water and some phlegm stuff. He slept for over 2 hours and woke at 6pm, drank a glass of water slowly but by 6.30pm ish it was all back in the bowl.

He's now in bed asleep but with just a wipe of water over his dry lips.

Do you suppose this could be the fact that we are so high (1850) and he is just not getting acclimatised as well as the rest of us (DS is 9) or could it be the rich food? But why is there not one ounce of food in his
sick?

I'm hoping obviously that he'll be fully recovered by the morning but do you suppose I should seek medical advice if he still can't keep water down?

TIA

Could it just be a tummy bug?

Hope he feels better soon.

Could well be the altitude. I always have an off day but does only last a day. Get the chalet girl to do him simple pasta etc for next few days.

1850 is a bit too low for altitude sickness, so it is most likely just a bug. Hope he feels better tomorrow.

But why then does he not bring anything up other than water and phlegm, that's what is confusing me. Only time will tell I know but selfishly I want to plan my skiing for tomorrow and it's all tits up if he's sick again. Honestly, some DCs a so selfish aren't they? Grin

Yes mckenzie, they should be too grateful to be on holiday to have time for an illness. Wink

As for only bringing up water and phlegm, that is all he probably has in his stomach. Poor soul, but I'm sure he'll be over it soon.
