Can anyone recommend some pull ups for daytime use for a 5 year old please?

DS has continence issues, much argy bargy with the school and they have now agreed to change him and not send him home if he has pull ups on. (Can be as little as once a month but anyway). The bedtime ones he wears are too nappy like IMO for school, the school want disposable though so can't buy those special pants you wash. Does anyone know who may do disposable ones but ones that look like pants/boxers? THanks :)

Can't you get the washable ones and and in a nappy sack for the soiled ones? Or you could send in a waterproof swimbag if the nappy sack isn't big enough.

I'm utterly appalled at your school's treatment of your ds's problem.

Have a look on here

I said I'd give them bags and she said it would be a health and safety issue (!!) (I guess after me saying it was a hygeine issue leaving a dirty DS sitting/wandering around). All I can think of is huggies pull ups (or similar) and pants/boxers over the top Confused

Oh bless him. Surely they change other children if they are wearing pants and have an accident?! Some of my Y3's had accidents when I was teaching and they were 7/8! Might be worth actually finding out where you stand legally? I can't imagine there's much difference for them changing him and putting sailed washables in a bag or changing him and putting soiled disposables in a bin.

Can't offer much more help though, sorry.

my dd(7) has accidents every day and am thanking my lucky stars that our school is soooo amazing. Our school nurse gave me some to try for her but she thinks they are too similar to nappies which of course gives the wrong conotations to her. in the end we have dozens of changes of pants and tights etc and nappy bags which the soiled ones are put into. They come home to me every day and i make sure the stock is always topped up.

Could you try your school nurse, or does your local hosp have an incontinance nurse?

I agree with Galena. See if you can find out what the legal position is re health and safety. The school should be able to provide you with a copy of the legislation. Try speaking to the SN Dept at the LEA.

def think you should take it further. my dd2 actually has a classroom assistant to help her with the bathroom/toilet thing. she has absolutely no other physical/educational needs at all and school have been amazing to the point of upgrading the very small old girls toilet to include a shower for her. am sure school must have a duty of care or some such thing
