Dd is 6m. She had her first jags at 4m rather than 2m becaue of a computer problem at the surgery and then 2 viruses and wine flu.

So, she has had her first two sets of jags and was due to have the next lot last week but I cancelled because she had a truly horrible cold. Problem is they're rebooked for tomorrow and she still has a horrible cold and has been v v grumpy (also teething).

I know they say to vaccinate unless high fever but I feel so sorry for her with this cold and think her body is fighting enough.

What should I do?? If I don't do it tomorrow it'll be in 12 days so she won't be all that far off 7m. Obviously I don't want to put her at risk, she is in the company of a lot of people a lot of the time but I just want to let her get over her cold first.

Am sick of these jags!!

I personally would wait, if her little immune system is already fighting a virus then jabs on top she is more likely to react badly, (my own DD had a bad reaction to her 2 month jabs) a weeks shouldn't make that much difference.

Not the same thing, but just had our Kitten vaccinated & poor thing was miserable & ill for 3 days afterwards :(

I'd definitely wait until she is 100% fit and well.

I would wait too. I'm in the same boat, except with DS' 12 and 13 month vaccinations. He's not far off 14 months and I've had to cancel several times, because each time he has had a virus - first a nasty cold, then hand, foot and mouth virus, and now bronchiolitis! He's just started nursery one day a week, so is getting everything going.

His fever has come down now, but I still be giving him plenty of time to recover before going ahead with his jabs (and also because he is on antibiotics).

I feel your pain. It's very frustrating. I hope your daughter feels better soon!

I'd wait, my DS has just had his 6 month jabs. Well 2 weeks ago but since then he had a cold. Apparently - correct me if I'm wrong - the 6 month jabs can cause cold like symptoms 10 and 21 days after (took him to docs on sat and they told me this, wasn't told at the jabs)

We put ours off for a few weeks because of teething, colds too. We was turned away because he still wasn't 100%. Wait till he's 100%

Thanks for replies I've somehow done two identical threads.
