Hi all,

could really do with some suggestions for a washing powder suitable for my little one, he has sensitive skin and the skin on his back has become really dry and is sometimes red, it seems to have started since i switched to tescos own brand non bio powder, trying to find which one would be better for him? anyone who has tried and tested some would be great to hear from you. Also any tips for soothing/ clearing up the dry skin , thankyou xx

My dd has sensitive skin and I have always used Fairy non bio powder, and fairy fabric softner for sensitive skin.I have never had a problem with that.I also use on both of my dc aqueous cream, you can get it from your gp.You can use it as cream and as a soap too :)

Hi my DD 4yrs has sensative skin and eczema. I used Tesco's non bio for years, but found the liquid tablet forms were kinder to her skin for some reason.

We tried Persil non-bio which she had an awful reaction to. I would reccomend trying Fairy non-bio which is very good and smells lovely. I still use Tesco's non-bio liquid tablets but find it has no fragrance so alternate between the two.

Bepanthen is wonderful for sore skin. I use Dermol cream (can get prescribed from GP) to moisturise her skin and it is antibacterial so fights off any germs which irritate her skin.

We tried E45 cream when DD was small but again, she reacted badly to this. A lot is trial and error. But have always found bepanthen to work really well, as does Sudocrem on open sores.

Could be worth seeing your GP to see if there is any indication that it may be eczema. But to me it sounds like it may be sweat related if it is on his back? DD used to sweat a lot as a baby.

Good luck!
