3 yr old - discharge

I have noticed recently that my 3 yr old dd appears to have slight vaginal discharge in her knickers at the end of the day. This seems very odd to me and I am quite worried about it. I have racking brains to the distant past but I am pretty sure I didn't have this until I was getting on towards puberty.

Has anyone else's dd had this? Is this something I should be worrying about? Any thoughts?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

She could have thrush. Has she recently had antibiotics? Or some girls get thrush if they have scented stuff in the bath.

That thought came to me in a flash this morning DeWe! She hasn't had antibiotics and is only washed with that mild Weleda shower stuff, but maybe I need to not use that either for a while.

Could she have it from being just a bit rundown because she has had one cold after another this winter and just never quite manages to shake it off completely.

Is there something specific for thrush in children? I ask because we are living abroad and the docs I have had dealings with so far have not inspired much confidence.

when dd had thrush she was prescribed canesten 1% cream. Have you checked to see if she is a bit red? Sudocrem (or other nappy rash cream) could help if she is a bit sore

she has complained in the past of being a bit sore and when I checked she was a bit red. I put nappy cream on her and it seemed to clear up and now I feel a right thicko for not realising it might be thrush before now.
