Are any of the 'big' chains better with kids, stickers etc?

She is 4 but very nearly 5, can read simple stuff but has now moved up to smaller text and complains that she cant see the words properly

I use Specsavers for my son who started going when he was 4. Although they don't use stickers like the dentist I have found them to be very professional and my son who is now 9 has never had a problem going. The tests they do are very simple and at her young age tend to include pictures as well as letters.
You could always take a treat with you and arrange a visit yourself so your daughter can see that there is no pain involved, you just look very silly in the big glasses.
