Are they all as good as each other. I see thete is a new 15 min treatment which sounds better than the overnight stuff. Have got nitty gritty comb and conditioner and just done that.

I bought the one hour one but it was a nightmare to wash out, very oily. The over night one was better I thought.

the Once one (15 minutes) did the trick for us. I combed afterwards, then washed the dds' hair and mine and found a few dead lice. Repeated treatment 10 days later, and found nothing at all - and not had a problem since.

Mind you, we caught it early - even dd1, the 'carrier', had only 4 or 5 (I had one) - so maybe that helped!

Its true its oily, you have to shampoo 3 or 4 times over to get it out.

Thanks, DH went to the chemist this afternoon and they only had the overnight stuff so she'll have to have that. At least its Sunday tommorrow. I'm going to get some of the 15 min stuff in though just incase next time its mid week that I find it. Nothing worse than washing hair before school!

Only the 12 hour preparations are recommended in the BNF as clinically effective.

Thatnks Pipsy, thats useful to know. Will stick with the 12hr stuff then. Must admit it crossed my mind if the stuff works by suffocation then 12 hours of suffocation has got to be better than 15mins. Grin
