Microwave cooking safety

I have recently heard that microwaving meals increases levels of carcinogens in the food.

I fed my eldest two children mostly on (home made) batch prepared meals, generally microwaved from frozen, from weaning until they were 18-24 months and old enough to eat dinner as a family.

Having read this I am extremely concerned about what damage I may have done to the health of my children.

Can anyone point to any research that shows microwaving food does not dangerously alter its chemical composition, my own searches suggest such research has rarely if ever been performed?

Any information would be greatly appreciated, as I am extremely worried about this.

I would think this would make major news as it impacts lifestyles of many of us who rely on heating, if not cooking using a microwave. Should there be any element of truth in this, it would come out rather quickly I would think.
see this for some related information.

There are so many health scares constantly being paraded in the newspapers and I also think this would be screaming headlines if any significant research showed this.

Microwaves cause the molecules in foods to vibrate and produce heat. I can't see an obvious reason for this to make a food carcinogenic? Its not adding stuff like pesticides, or modifying them in some way.
