Baby cold and clammy

Dd2 (4 mo) is clammy on her back & head but cool to touch. She doesn't seem overtly unwell but has been out of sorts for a few days, more crabby than normal. Lots of pooing, and nappies a bit more 'off' than normal.

Does it sound like anything to worry about? It's the clamminess that is worrying me really.

have you taken her teperature?

if your spider senses are tingling, get thee to the out of hours service... the baby is only 4 months old, i think you need to be cautious, personally, with such a small baby.

Thanks for the messages. We are away with family so no thermometer. Ended up calling nhs direct who sent an ambulance which seemed a massive overreaction but I'm grateful they were more worried than not.

Dd was fine though. Paramedics said she has very grumbly bowels so maybe just a tummy upset.

We were just concerned as we googled, like you do, and the second article was one on SIDS :(. She seems fine today though.

that's good news, bumper. my doc was very clear with us that he wanted to see us whenever our spider senses tingled... happier to console us with news that our child is perfectly well than having to break bad news late, iykwim?

Bumper has she just had her vaccinations? I'm asking because my DD has been a bit this way - iffy nappies, off-colour, a bit clammy, and she had hers on Tue. Although I think your DD2 is a bit older than mine.

Thanks for the reassurance aitch. Skiphop, yep, jabs on Tuesday to. I never expect the after effects to last so long.

mine always reacted to jabs. whatever the nurse said might happen, did happen x10. both of mine had proper measles rashes for a fortnight after MMR. (which i was always pleased about, iykwim, as it showed it was working).
