When do I need to worry about vomiting? (13 mo)

DD was never a sicky baby even as a newborn. But she has had Ds & Vs for the last four days, not constantly but once or twice a day. She has no temperature and seems ok-ish albeit a bit subdued after a D or V.

Also, we have given her very little cow's milk but what we did give her was semi-skinned. Then we realised that we were supposed to give her full fat and changed it, on Sunday, which is the first day she was sick (though not straight after milk).

Could she be lactose intolerant and it's only been triggered by the higher fat milk? Or is this a tummy bug?

And how long should I leave it before going to doc, bearing in mind she isn't permanently ill?

Any help/thoughts hugely appreciated.

Is she drinking plenty of water? ie - not becoming dehydrated. Does she seem lively and alert or is she subdued. If she is subdued then she may need help.

I think for reassurance you should take her to the docs or at least phone them for advice or NHS direct. 4 days is quite a long time to go without food if she is vomiting up all that she eats.

dairy products are hard to digest if you have a tummy bug and are not recommended if you are still vomiting.

She's drunk a lot of water and has thrown up about half of her meals, so she's getting nutrition and hydration. She is still toddling around and playing, but she is very bad-tempered which tends to mean she's in pain.

She slept quite well last night but woke very angry at about 5.30am and didn't go back to sleep, lots of frowns and sobbing. But she hasn't got a temp. It's so weird, she's sort of ill and not ill at the same time.

So should I stop giving her milk altogether, do you think?
