Night time temp - a mystery...

Anyone heard of this before? My LO has the usual delightful cough/snots. This is all usual fare, but at night he gets a major temp and is understandably unimpressed and can't sleep. Yet in the day he seems really pretty fine, albeit a bit tired. The snot's still there and a bit of a cough, but never a temp. This has been the case for the last 4 or 5 nights now. I know the mucus dribbles down when lying down so that explains the extra coughing but I've never had this temp-each night-not-in-day thing. Have you? What's the deal? How long did it last? (Oh and it's def not too hot in bedroom and he wears flappy cool pyjamas and all of that.) Thank you!

Is the temp after lots of coughing?

Could allergies aggravated by being a bit low be an issue? Just a suggestion, but could you vac and turn matress, use a low allergen pillow and duvet (or non feather - works for me)

I find when I'm snotty/ coughing propping up on lots of pillows helps me sleep a bit better - a spare rolled up duvet/ sleeping bag would work well too.

That's a good point - yes the temp is after lots of coughing. I hadn't made that connection. Thanks for your advice, will give it a whirl (if LO stays with his head at the right end for any length of time!).
