Are nits old hat?

After 12 years of tackling head lice, I was utterly grossed out yesterday by teen DD infestation and found myself forgetting to be kind by blaming her for not combing herself more often, and made a ghastly comment about creepy-crawlies having sex on her head. Which of course they don't. I've long since harboured the idea of putting together a book on nits that is both humourous and useful, and busts those unhelpful myths, backed up with product tests and soothing anecdotes. But would anyone buy it, or are nits old hat?

Yes, I think people would buy it.
Nits are old hat for you, but they're in the future for me and many other people.
My two DCs are still small and we are yet to have the dreaded infestation.
A good book with advice would be welcome.
I'm sure other parents of young children would feel the same.

I would welcome a good book. My dd is only 2 and hasn't "picked" them up from nursery yet, but im sure the time will come, sooner rather than later!! Not looking forward to it I must say :(

Hmmm, and asking around, there is so much bullsh*t about how to deal with headlice and people saying ridiculous things such as "men don't get them because of testosterone (that's easy for you to spell)." But also, there is, as with all things parental, the funny side of nits. I am working on this - All suggestions greatly cogitated..
