Missing Button...

Just went upstairs to check DD and when I moved her duvet I noticed that one of the buttons (10p size) was missing. Had a good search around the cot and floor and it's nowhere to be seen. Hmm

There were no strange/choking noises thru the monitor earlier and shes sleeping peacefully now.

She may or may not have swallowed the button. Should I be concerned, or is this a wait and let nature take it's course (if indeed the button has been swallowed).

Toddlers eh??

If she had inhaled it there would be signs of breathing difficulties. If she's swallowed it, you will see it again. Shock

She may well have found it and hidden it as 'treasure'. Ask her tomorrow.

Quite often they come off in the wash though.

Thanks - that's what I thought, but was keen for some MN reassurance!

DH put the duvet cover on, and it probably wouldn't have crossed his mind to mention a missing button. He's working tonight so can't check (not sure he'd remember either way though!) Grin

Check the rubber rim of your washing machine. You may well find it there. Along with 57p in change Wink

My washing machine isn't a clever / generous as yours. No buttons AND no money. In fact nothing but some wet/damp fluff :(

Ah well let's hope it's not in the outlet pipe then? If it is - it will be a very expensive duvet cover! Wink

Pesky button-eating washing machine. Grin Just as well DH is out earning money tonight.

Better that than inhaled / ingested though.

Ingested is fine. You'll just get a surprise. DS produced a pound coin when he was about 10 months old Shock!

We did watch him for a few days to see if there was any more but alas, just the once. :(
