She did swimming in school yesterday. It may or may have kicked it off.

I have rung the school, and now am trying to get back in touch with the hospital to see the orthopedic guy again.

thankyou pinkjenny, how old is your dd?

I had a run in with the school only two weeks ago, and the head was very unreasonable about my dd's overall attendance, and he was useless when dd was away for the summer term. Never got intouch, never sent work home, then comes down on me like a ton of bricks with the educastion welfare officer, about dd's education.

He was ok when irang this morning, but tbh i am all over theplace, knowing this is back and i so hoped it had gone away.

Oh Piratecat that sounds awful from the head teacher. I'm so sorry too that your DD is having hip problems again. Like Pinkjenny my DD was born with DDH and is now (at 19.5 months) being investigated for delayed walking which may or may not be related. So while it's not the same as your DD's problems I do know what a worry hips can be. [DrCosyTiger offers a sympathetic paw ...]

I have left amessage in the consultants secretary's voicemail. I just hope we get to go bac to see him soon. I now it will have to be the injection now, if this isn't going to go away.

By some miracle, dd has gone into school this morning, aching but no severe pain. Bad evening she could not sleep, and was upset and anxious. Yet bearable today.

Very brave of her to go in, piratecat-I'm impressed. Dd used to have hysterics about going to school after an episode.

Just remind me, what is the injection? Will it deal with the pain?

Ds is still bad, a bit tearful this morning as there was a special dressing up event at school. I've let him have the laptop in bed, he can just about manage to turn enough to play games on it.

The injection was supposed to be for the pain yes. steroid.

She is continuing to do well no pain, which is all a bit strange but most welcome.

ds is still flat on his back; he was just about able to make it down the stairs (on his crutches! I daren't look!) to lie on settee, but that's all he's done today

seem like it's time to start on physio again
