My dd (6) has a very wobbly tooth. The gum around it has gone very red, a bit purple and sore. Dh says I am being neurotic, and its normal! Is it?
Should I take her to emergency dentist?

If it is very wobbly the best thing is to pull it out. Then the gum will heal up.

Either encourage her to wobble it out, give her an apple to eat or try to pull it out yourself.

We have wobbled it, she has bitten into apple, carrot etc etc but the bugger won't come out. I was advised against pulling teeth out in case it causes gum trauma or infection.

It will come out more quickly if she twists it, however it is perfectly normal for them to be mobile for a several days before they come out. Primary teeth are designed to exfoliate, the roots gradually resorb and they come out by themselves but most kids give them a bit of a helping hand and don't suffer trauma or infection.

Its not the wobbliness I am concerned about it is the red/purple gum and pain!
