QUICK-would you give Calpol?

DD woke up from nap with over 40 degrees fever. I gave her paracetamol, she's fine now, good mood and no or v.low fever.

Her bedtime is in 30 minutes and it would also be the time for next dose of Calpol.

Do I give it to her even though she's got no fever at the moment, just so she doesn't wake up with 41 degrees in the middle of the night?

Or do I leave it and hope she'll be alright?

Calpol helps with temperature, inflammation and pain. If you know the reason for the temperature e.g cold/flu then give the calpol again once it is given as per the guidelines on the bottle regarding repeat times. Sleep is imortant for healing so by giving hte calpol it will hopefully allow your little one to rest comfortably and then be well again quickly.

If you dont know the reason for the high temperature definitely get a gp review, if ever in doubt trust your first instinct, you know your little one better than anyone!!
