DD allowed immunisations with minor sniffles?

DD is getting her 12 month immunisations today (2 months late, due to an admin cock up)

She has had a runny nose for about a week now, unusual for her, never ill, it isn't bad, just needs wiping now and again and she is perfectly fine in herself, no other cold symptoms.

Will they still let her get them? Should I even bother to mention it? I remember hearing they aren't supposed to get them if they are unwell. Would this really be classed as unwell enough to not get them?

Tried calling the surgery but as usual, no answer! TIA :)

they would normallly still give them unless she has a high temperature

If I were you, I'd put it off. When DS was due his 12 month jabs he had a runny nose and sniffles. I delayed his appointment and I'm really glad I did as within a week, the sniffles had developed into a really nasty cold.

I waited until he was 100% fit and healthy and did the immunisations then and he was absolutely fine.

She had them - they said it wasn't a problem unless she had a temperature or was on antibiotics. But now I have another question!

The leg that she had 2 needles in (her left leg), around the needles sites (there seems to be 3 for some reason Hmm ) is red and swollen, and it seems to be getting bigger. It was the size of a 5p yesterday, now it's the size of a £2 coin, if not slightly bigger.

It's normal, isn't it? Blush
