Have just noticed my ds has his second teeth growing up behind his milk teeth, there are two teeth coming up and his baby teeth are not remotly wobbly. Should I be worried, he has not lost any baby teeth. the new ones are on the bottom.

No, don't worry. My oldest two have both had this. When the baby teeth come out, the older teeth move to the front.

How old is he?

Just mention it to the dentist next time you see him/her.

Thanks for that, he is seven, probably the only child in juniors who still has all his baby teeth. He is desperate for some tooth fairy money.

This happened to my ds. It looks odd for a while but when the baby teeth fall out they move into the gap. The only thing I found was that they did tend to stop the baby teeth wobbling as they couldn't do back and forth as the big teeth were behind them and I think they stayed in place a lot longer than if the adult teeth hadn't been there. They did come out eventually though and I am sure your dentist can advise further if you are concerned.

Am less worried now thanks, the worse thing is I feel guilty I have only just noticed and they are quite big, and I do clean his teeth everyday!

DS had this and we mentioned it to the dentist. They said not to worry as long as the baby teeth were starting to show some signs of heading out - and that it was worth encouraging wobbling! Ds's teeth moved into alignment amazingly quickly when the baby teeth finally fell out.

Oh, and they are called shark teeth (ds got cool points at school for that ;-)

I've just taken dd to the dentist for this and she said not to worry but try and wiggle the teeth out. Dd is 14!

ds is 7 and has only lost 2 teeth, this is what happened to his. looks gorgeous

My oldest has this at the moment, he's 6, his little brother helpfully kicked him in the face (they both claim it was an accident!) and the baby teeth then started wobbling, first one fell out last week.
