she really was ill, and after 2 days i took her to the gp who said it was a virus.

As a child i had scary fever dreams, as did my parents apparently. Yet it's now some days since she was ill, but still feels, at times dizzy and if she focuses on things they come looming in close to her eyes she says.

I can't say she 100% is well yet, as she still has a sore throat and seems a bit tired. She also said her right ear hurts a bit.
she's 8 btw.

Could she have an ear infection? I'd pop her back to the GP.

Owww, your poor DD. Is she getting lots of fluids? Trust your instinct BTW and take her back to the docs if you are worried.

Sorry I'm not much help, but wanted to wish your DD well (particularly as I have a special fondness for her name Wink)

hmm, maybe. It could well have developed since last friday when we saw the doc couldn't it. I think I should try and get in to see someone after school tomorrow.
She has quite stinky breath too, which is always a good indicator in her that she is ill, and in the past has been accompanied by an infection.

I quite understood the flashbacks ot the fever dreams on sat and sunday, as she only started to stop the fever sat morning. It's just becuase she is saying it today, that it's worried me.

I would take her back to the GP. Maybe a secondary bacterial infection? Ear perhaps if she is feeling a bit dizzy with it. Hope she feels better soon.

piratecat · 08/09/2010 22:23

yes could be. we've been here before i recall. over the yrs. gp says virus, then you go away, see them suffer, think it will all get better, then they don't. Then you go back and find out they've been having an infection, and oyu feel guilty for all the geeing up etc...!
