DD is 9 and both her adult canine teeth are growing in, but the baby teeth are still in place but wobbly.

We were at the dentist 2 weeks ago, who said to wobble the baby teeth as much as possible to encourage them to come out to let the new big teeth in.

Her right hand side baby canine has been wobbly for weeks, for the last 5 or 6 days it has literally been hanging down, but it looks like it has a bit of gum attached to it, it is bleeding quite a lot, and annoying DD and she is getting quite upset about it.

I hate, hate, hate wobbily teeth, the look of them honestly makes me retch, so I am a great help.

I just really wanted to know if the gummy bit attached was normal or if we should go back to the dentist, it is sort of sitting at a right angle to the gum, whith a big gummy bit attached Could the big tooth coming down be holding it in? (sorry if that is a daft question Grin)

Should she keep wobbling, leave it alone or get it seen to?

She is normally an expert tooth puller (especially in the days when she still got tooth fairy money Wink) but even tho this one looks like it is on the verge no amount of wobbling will do the trick.

I will tell her to try a twist (even typing that actually made me shiver, I hate this so much!!!) I think the amount of blood coming from it has freaked her out a bit.

Shall report back! Thanks!

Lots of wobbling, twisting, blood, retching, hysterical laughing DD and me hiding behind a cushion, the tooth has just come out!

DD is delighted! Thank you! Smile

I might buy a stick of rock for the same tooth on the opposite side that is also starting to wobble and the big tooth is on it's way down. Great tip! Grin

I think wobbly teeth are the worst part of parenting!!!
