Fucibet

DD (4) has just got over a bout of impetigo. She had it for a week before she was diagnosed (we were on holiday), she then used Fucibet for a week but it kept spreading so the doc put her on oral antibiotics which cleared it up. She finished the antib's a week and a half ago but I've found a possible impetigo patch on her bottom (it originally started at the top of her legs). I'm not 100% convinced that it is impetigo though - don't think it looks exactly the same as the other scabs/sores, but it's hard to tell.

My question is, should I use the Fucibet on it or not? I know it's strong stuff and don't know whether it would do more harm than good putting it on something that could be an open sore (i.e. she might have got it by scraping along the floor - she does like to go naked in the evenings at home).

Actually, now I'm thinking about it, would a pharmacist be able to tell me if it was impetigo or not?

TIA for any advice.

Maybe try the Fucibet overnight...she's probably asleep now....check if any improvement in the morning. As impetigo is usually bacterial, it will need an antibiotic cream to help clear it.
