dd obsessed about time

my 3 year old constantly needs reassurance about time - how long, what time, is that a long time etc- she also asks frequently what she's doing that day...she does spend 2 days a week with her daddy and i work away from home a bit, so i can understand why she asks about time...i have bought her a watch and made her a chart to try and explain time to her...but, alas no joy. she is like 'rain man' and i don't know if it's a phase or if i should be concerned.

just obessing over the time, even though i explain and ask her to repeat it back to me so she understands - or i think she does, she will ask a split second later, "am i staying all day at nursery"...repeat repeat repeat to fade...i did wonder if there was something else going on.

My DD went through a phase at about 3yo of being totally obsessed with what we were going to be doing next, what we were doing tomorrow, how long she had to wait, what the time was etc etc.

I think its pretty normal.

If it's any help my ds aged 5 will always ask every day without fail, 'you will be back at 3, see you at 3 mummy.' 2 seconds later the same again. Same at bedtime, 'you'll be in your room when I wake up won't you'. I think it's an anxiety thing that then becomes a habit. I just answer him now, tried everything from ignoring, reward charts etc but he just needs reassurance. Is this the only thing your worried about with her?
