Milk teeth crossing over - do I need to do anything?

DS is 15 months and still only has 6 teeth: two at the bottom and four at the top. Of the top teeth the right middle one and the one to its right are fine, but the left middle and the one to its left still haven't properly descended after 4 months.

Now they have finally come down about two-thirds of the way you can see that they are crossing over: the outside one is coming across and in front of the middle one. I'm assuming this is what has made them take such an age to come through, but also that there's nothing that should/could be done about it. After all they're going to fall out in a few years anyway, right?

I don't think you need to worry, but you are taking him to the dentist aren't you? They should start going from their first teeth (even if they then refuse to open their mouthes for the first few visits). Ask your dentist at the next appointment.

I asked my dentist at my last appointment (before the teeth came through) and she said they don't see children until they're 3!

Well my dentist sees kids from when they're born. Maybe thats why my kids have little tooth decay despite eating too many sweets. And its taken mine several visits before they will open their mouths. (We're also all NHS although he doesn't take on new NHS patients.)

This is an NHS dentist. I'll ask again next time I go. Perhaps she meant they don't have to be registered until then, but they'll still see them?

Registration doesn't exist anymore if your dentist is accepting new patients they will see your Ds just tell them you are worried about his teeth. He doesn't have to be a particular age to be seen.
Normally as he grows and his tongue and lips push against the teeth they wil straighten out by themselves.
