DS is two and has been a bit clingy the past few days. He vomited on Sunday night and had a bit of a temperature and now has a rash, very red on the cheeks, spreading to his torso. I think it's slapped cheek but don't know if vomiting is also a symptom. we're away from home and seeing a doc is a bit of a mission. Any ideas?

Littlemad had this recently, a Dr is unlikely to do anything mroe than say, keep him calpol-ed up and plenty of fluids even if it is slapped cheek. Vomiting can be a symptom - but keep an eye in case it's something else.
Just keep him as comfy as possible and he'll get through it, though don't be too alarmed if the rash sort of 'drains' working it's way down his bosy - was very odd when it happened to littemad and the whole thing knocked him for six for about 3 weeks.
Hope he feels better soon

Does he have a sore throat, swollen tongue and is the rash rough ? If so could be scarlet fever and may need abs.

you arent pregnant are you.

Just give calpol and let him rest. 10 days and it will all be gone. Try not to breathe in any cough droplets yourself as i have had chronic parvo from DS2 and i have been seriously ill with it

My DD1 presented with slapped cheek in A&E whilst I was in hosp having DD2.
We were all fine.
I would always try and get to a doctor with those symptoms however.
