no idea but place-marking as dd (6) is also inquisitive.
she thinks at the moment "God puts it there" but is going to have more questions soon i just know and need to be ready!

mummy laid an egg babette cole - but read it yrself first as it is in her customarily direct but zany style. you need to be brave but it's worth it

also usborne flip flap body book but it is very coy on exactly how baby gets there

apols for typing - sleeping baby on me

mummy laid an egg is brilliant. I'm expecting dc3 with a 4 and 3 year old. Read it to them both. dd4 (nearly5) loves it. it's honest but so far the humour has distracted her from asking further specifics. ds3 just goes with the flo! Also, there is where willy went but I'm keeping that for the next round of 'but how exactly does the seed get to your egg mummy?' questions. Then for more detail there's how did I begin but that leaves nothing to the imagination so perhaps that's for older children! HTH. IMO, being honest if asked specifics is by far the best policy. I'm ready to say 'it's a bit like doing a human jigsaw puzzle darling' or something as silly. Good luck!

I've just bought and read this book with my 6 year old. I thought it was great - nice pictures, good low key introduction to the facts (but more details there if/when she wants them).
How did I begin by Brita Granstrom

Seemed to satisfy her questions at this stage but not scare her . Good luck!
