What next after Rainbow Fairies?

My seven-year-old has been devouring the Rainbow Fairy books but now she wants to read longer books. She loves reading about magic and likes mermaids, fairies and animals. She's read the Faraway Tree and Wishing Chair books and although she likes listening to the early Harry Potter books, she is a bit put-off by the size. But that's fine by me, after all she can read them in a year or two. I want to find her something that is longer than Rainbow Fairies but that doesn't look too daunting.

Any thoughts would be great. Thanks!

Wanda the Working Fairy and Stella the Stay-at-Home Fairy.

My 9 year old daughter absolutely loved Rainbow Fairies, and she went on to reading My Secret Unicorn by Linda Chapman - now she wants to read everything by Linda Chapman she can't get enough.

I agree, do try Linda Chapman's books. My daughter (9) loves them. She has just read the skating school series about girls in a magic land, but there are also Stardust and Sky Horses books, which are all about magic and animals and caring for the enviroment. They are just a step on from Rainbow Faries. Or the Silver Dolphins books by Summer Waters. They are great all about dolphins and magic and friends. If your daughter wants faries maybe try the Glitterwings series by Titania Woods-longer fairy books about fairies at school or there's Liz Kessler's Philippa Fisher series about a fairy god-sister. Hope this helps!
