Could be interesting.

I think it's so hard to come up with new ideas these days. In music too there are natural progressions that get used, and used again.
But you'd think the agent might've noticed there might be a potential problem.

It sounds like opportunistic bollocks to me.

The wizard world in HP has equivalents for much in the 'muggle' world, so it's no great surprise that there are prisons, hospitals and educational facilities. Now, if the book no one's ever heard of, happened to be about a grand wizarding tournament with particular trials in which the main character was maliciously entered and then helped by someone pretending to be his teacher so as to lure him to some place where he could be used to bring the most evil wizard (and his nemesis) back to full power... I doubt it though. All the article implies is some fairly generic ideas are similar.

What next, Jill murphy sues because Rowling 'stole' her idea of a school for witches and wizards? And, worse, some of the characters are comically bad at spells and there are some mean kids who are enabled/encouraged by the teachers.

It?s not even the author of the other book(s), it?s his estate. Someone trying their luck, it sounds like? Agree with monkeyfeathers.
