Recommend me Usbourne books

My friend does Usbourne, and I like the look of the books, but no idea what to order. I have ordered four that took my fancy (mainly by having nice pictures on the front if I'm honest), but want to order more.

DD1 is turning three in a month. She is just starting to learn to read - she can recognise letters and tell me what sound they make, and what letters start words, but isn't reading words yet. She can count up to about 12, but only sometimes, and can add up small numbers using her fingers. She can draw basic shapes, people and cars. She loves stickers, planes, dinosaurs and cooking.

DD2 is three months old and likes milk and cuddles

I am a SAHM so looking for books we can get lots of value out of and use in loads of different ways.

Google the site a lot of the books have a look inside facility.

The craft books are fab just take your pick. My dd 5 loves the sticker doll books, my boys 6 love the lift the flap books- fantastic.

Dd had Ilustrated Fairy Tales which is a lovely book she loves it.

They do packs of cards for journeys which are great and their packs of stencils are lovely (we've got the spooky ones). Actually we've got an animal stencil book which is good.

Their jigsaw books are good we've got the Under the Sea one which is fab.

Hi,

Ask your friend for her recommendations as she knows your child as well as the range. I'm an Usborne organiser and if you came to my stall I'd recommend First Sticker books - abc, 123 etc p30 new cat. -or Farmyard Tale Sticker Stories - picture stickers for missing words, my 3yrold loves them (p42). For the baby how about a nice cloth or bath book? Ask your friend to have a look at some samples.

Enjoy choosing!

Tamara

We got a big book which had all the farm yard tales in when ds was 2. He loved the stories and now he is 5 he is reading them for himself or with shared reading. Simple words and structure but nice tales. Plus you get to play hunt the duck... We have had our money out of it.
