Polly Dunbar's series of books about Tilly, Tumpty, Doodle, Pru and Hector are brilliant. DD absolutely loves them. Get them from amazon as a package - much cheaper.
Also Penguin by Polly Dunbar

Monkey and Me by Emily Gravett

kipper is another fav here too.

PavlovtheCat · 02/02/2010 15:47

Tiger who came to tea - how very topical!
Peppa Pig Annual
Princesses are not Quitters! (DH got this from a charity shop).
Gruffallo/gruffallo's child
Stick Man
Hairy McLairy
Naughty Amelia Jane

(although probably as these are mostly all my favourites too so i read them to her lots!)

PavlovtheCat · 02/02/2010 15:48

Oh yes Guess How Much I Love You - we have it in a huge book, as big as she is!

PuppyMonkey · 02/02/2010 15:49

Here's a little baby
One two three

The Gruffalo and anything else by Julia Donaldson
Aaargh! Spider!
Ooo oo oo! Gorilla!
Where the Wild Things Are
Winnie the Witch
Hairy McClary
There's an ouch in my pouch

There's also a great train book by (I think) William Donaldson.

DS is 3.3 but he's loved all these since he was around 2 (and some before that)

Owl Babies ("I want my mummy")
Spot
Hungry Caterpillar
Dear Zoo

cilitbang · 02/02/2010 16:43

Bear Snores on - I love reading it too!
Oh and the Cat in the Hat series you can buy a omnibus edition.

MamaGoblin · 04/02/2010 22:59

DS is 23 months and loves:

-All the Mog books (apart from Goodbye Mog, of which he knows nothing, and I can't bear to show him )

-We're blardy Going on a sodding Bear Hunt. Paperback, board book and pop-up formatts...

-'Raddit Book' (The Tale of Peter Rabbit)

-Shirley Hughes' Alfie books (great for pre-schoolers, lots going on in the illustrations)

-Another vote for Polly Dunbar's Penguin.

-Julia Donaldson/Axel Scheffler Gruffalo, Monkey Puzzle and Room on the Broom

-Anything featuring Charlie and Lola...

And we've just discovered a brilliant, all-picture-no-text book by Quentin Blake, called Clown.

All favourites, read several times a week

bibbitybobbityhat · 04/02/2010 23:03

Can I put in a vote for Cockatoos by Quentin Blake.
