Just posted this in my last thread, but thought I ought to start a new one really.

Oh man!

That was without a doubt the most exciting thing I have ever read. Absolutley gripping, with awesome twists, turns, cleverness, intrigue, loss and joy right until the very end when the next generation leaves for Hogwarts. I am aghast.

So cleverly constructed, all ends tied, with believable and heart-breaking losses, coupled with equally believable and heart-warming explanations.

There is only one thing, that I admit I may have lost in my excitement. How did Neville get Gryffindor's sword? The last I remember of it was the goblin (Griphook?) making off with it at Gringotts??

But obv in my excitement, I can't even spell it right

Re: Neville getting the Gryffindor sword - only a true Gryffindor can remove it from the sorting hat, which I believe is what Neville did (I would double check but my sister has nicked by copy of Deathly Hallows!) and also remember Dumbledore saying in Chamber of Secrets (I think) that at Hogwarts help will always be at hand for those who ask for it.

OMG....I'm going away now before everyone realises what a Harry Potter nutjob I am!

Thanks, mabble. Have now embarked on far more serious reading matter (Heart of Darkness) and dare not verify the Gryffindor theory for want of being sucked off course.

I did love this series htough. A lot more than I thought I would!
