DD age 7 seems stuck on re-reading and re-reading her old favourites at the moment, she is driving me insane!

Can anyone suggest a really good book to get her enthused again please?

Has read (and re-read)......
All books by Linda Chapman
All Rainbow magics
All books by Steve Cole
All the age approporiate Dahl's
All books by Michael Broad
Most of the Young Puffin sets
All the Clarice Bean's
Most of the Gwyneth Rees collection
Some Worst Witch
Most Horrid Henry's
(and that's just off the top of my head )

Thanks for the advice everyone!

Come to think of it, she is at a stage where she is discovering many other new things (started a new school in Sept) so maybe it is a familiarity thing!

It takes seeing other people's opinions sometimes to show you what is right under your nose

Will take her to the library tonight I think, but will make sure I give NO help in choosing & see what she comes back with.

Thanks everyone!

I agree with Seeker about old-fashioned books like "Swallows and Amazons" etc; they're very difficult for modern children who have a whole new range of wonderful fiction to enjoy. We do the old classics as read-alouds too, so that I can explain all the unfamiliar vocabulary and locutions.
