I read Topsy and Tim and the new baby to DS repeatedly before DD arrived and it was quite good in that it explained that babies cry when being bathed but are pretty nice really.

Haven't looked at this thread for a while so thanks for all your replies. Have got hold of the Miffy book and trying to get hold of some others - will have to get a move on or dd2 will be here!

I bought Usborne's The New Baby- my dd1 was older than yours at 5, but she did like the book and learn from it. I also liked how it had BFing the newborn!
Now my dd2 likes reading it at the age of 3 (we are NOT having another baby though!)
