got some new books from the library last week and ds1 is really enjoying them, so thought I would share.

Dinosaur Cove - series, a couple of boys have adventures back in the jurassic.

Beast Quest - series, recommended by others on here, ds1 loving it.

Super Powers (Alex Cliff) - series, 2 boys find Hercules imprisioned in a wall and have to do tasks to free him.

My son is in year 2 and he loves "Astrosaurs" by Steve Cole and "Space Cows in action" series of books also by Steve Cole.

My son also like the Usbourne Young readers, the third series are quite challenging to read. For example my son enjoyed simplified versions of "Frankenstein", "Dracula", "Oliver Twist" and "Robin Hood". Obviously there is no way he could cope yet with the orginal versions.

yes, ds had an astrosaurs one just before christmas and enjoyed it.
Will bear the magic tree house ones in mind, I have been getting a bit fed up with the lack of choice on the library van - but just occurred to me that I could order stuff, so have the next of the Super Powers series on request, and will look to see if they have the magic treehouse ones.
Just like him to be able to choose really, but when there is noting suitable it isn't great.
I suppose I can order a couple and let him chose a couple each time, then if the ones he choses are no good we still have the ordered ones.
