Hi has anyone read?
I know I read it when I was younger and I definitely remember thinking it was a really good book
I'd be interested to try again and see if it's as good as I remember
I'm thinking about reading it to my child
What age is it suitable for do you think? Because I can't remember it in detail
My child is 12

I think suitable for a 12 year old. It is a good, creepy read. I remember it well although I haven’t read it for years.

I remember enjoying it when younger. It’s a memorable one.

I don’t actually remember this one but I loved Anne Fine!
My favourite was Crummy Mummy, I actually have a ‘Made in Birmingham’ tattoo inspired by Crusher Maggot!

Oh great

So it should be ok

I've ordered it

Hope it's as good as I remember now!

I did enjoy reading Red Sky in the Morning to her by Elizabeth Laird recently. That was another one I remembered reading when I was younger and thinking it was a really good book.

I got an audiobook of this and listened with my girls when they were around 10 and 12. They really enjoyed it and it gave us lots to talk about. We listened to or read lots of Anne Fine, I think her books are always really well written and thought provoking.

Ok that sounds positive then!

I think I was late primary when I read it? Maybe y5? Loved Anne Fine. Diary of the killer cat was my fave when I was a bit younger.

A fantastic book. Kiss the Dust by the same author (about the Iraqui Kurds) is also brilliant.

Thanks, will have a look
