My DD is 11 and dyslexic and if she reads anything at all, it’s re-reading her Hello Kitty books from when she was age 5/6 years. She has also in the past enjoyed the Bad Panda books.

I’ve bought her the full set of Hello Kitty books and Bad Panda books so those avenues are now exhausted.

Does anyone have any recommendations of any other books I could try for her to read?

What sort of thing is she interested in? Dick King Smith can be fairly short words and large text with good stories
my 8 yo likes Fabio the flamingo detective and captain pug books

It might he a bit young but have a look at Peggy Little Legs which is recommended as a dyslexia friendly book.

My dyslexic son loves graphic novels. Lots of colourful pictures to keep his interest. Have you tried those? Investigators, Dog Man, Looshkin, Cat Kid etc. Or with more words you can get full colour versions of the first few Treehouse books - 13 Storey Treehouse, 26 Storey Treehouse. Unfortunately not in colour but Tom Gates and Diary of a Wimpy Kid have a lot of pictures.

My kids really like "The Tale of Peter Rabbit" by Beatrix Potter. I also love reading them "Muffin vs. Everyone" by C.J. Night. They love fun literature:)^^

The Tom Gates series by Liz Pichon is fantastic. Both my (non-dyslexic) DC have loved them, but the author is dyslexic and apparently the visual style makes them particularly appealing to dyslexic children.

I recommend checking out this reading list tailored for 6th graders: Recommended Reading List for 6th Graders. It might offer some great options for your daughter, considering her age and interests. It could introduce her to new characters and stories that spark her interest while being more accessible for her dyslexia.

What about audio books? She’ll be hearing the sentence structure and vocabulary, she’ll have to infer and comprehend but not have the pressure of actually reading. You could get her the books to follow along with.
