I'm looking for recommendations on gifting a nice book to a pre-teenager(friend’s daughter)😊
So can anyone suggest a book which is simple and fun to read?
My thoughts are on books that help in positive thinking(positive affirmations) or personality development.

The 'wreck this journal' books are popular with pre-teens/teens. They're meant to promote creativity and reduce stress (they're good fun), and she's probably more likely to read and use it rather than a written book specifically about a topic like positive thinking (if she's anything like my DD and DS anyway!) There’s a good one by Onjali Rauf called Hope on the Horizon.

Does she read a lot ?

My DDad is a huge reader and was forever buying my DC books they just weren't that into

Which was a shame

Could you maybe give her a diary instead ?

DD and I were reading her old diaries the other day that I found in the loft and they we're hilariously sweet and funny and we're a great way clearly of her putting down her thoughts and feelings at the time

Plus giving a child a book on

'My thoughts are on books that help in positive thinking(positive affirmations) or personality development'

I think is a terrible idea and could make them feel worse about themselves

You're basically saying to her

I can see something is wrong with you so here's a book to fix you

Oh! Thank you for bringing up this perspective😊
I was just focussing on gifting her a nice book which can be fun to read and to encourage her reading habit.
Yes, I’ll rethink my choice of book😊

@Constantpeace what was your favourite book at that age?
Give a copy of that (if easy to get).
