Anyone, or their DC, read this? If so, what would you say was an appropriate age to read it? Google, and Amazon, seem to say 12 but I wondered if it would be suitable for a Y6.
I am going to read the book myself, but wanted to gather other opinions.

My DD started reading these books at about 12yo after the author visited her school. I think they are aimed at y8 onwards. My DD was a very advanced reader, and carried on enjoying the books until her late teens.

Depends on the child really. FH is a brilliant original writer, but her books are full of complex ideas and this one is no different. Might be better to wait until 12-13.

I read this myself last year and I wasn't going to give it to my 10 year old just yet. I would agree with another couple of years.

Funny to see this - I've had a copy waiting for several years to be deployed! I'll dust it off and dive in.
