Has anyone ever come across the You Say Which Way books? The one I’m looking at is called In The Magician’s House. My eldest niece will be 8 in June and is a confident reader. The last book she read was Ottoline and The Yellow Cat by Chris Riddell which she enjoyed having finished it in under a week (Easter present). I wondered if a choose your own ending book might be more exciting and wondered what age they were aimed at?

10 to 12 years

You Say Which Way interactive fiction books are for readers aged 10 to 12 years. Readers love making their own choices. Decision fiction offers a chance to take risks.

I'm with her on the Ottoline books abc I just love Chris Riddell's illustrations.

well, maybe. I've always found that the trouble with those books is that they're never really coherent and don't flow well. Not necessarily the fault of the author (though some I've read have been not particularly well-written) but a consequence of the set-up.

Thank you. Maybe next year for the pick your own ending. I’ll look for something else this year.
