Any recommendations for children's books which contain smaller books which you can remove and read? My 15 month old seems to find this absolutely hilarious! So far we have the Jolly Postman books, The Goldilocks Variations and Buster's Birthday.

Thanks!

Not very seasonal but we have Teddy's Christmas by Pete Bowman which has little cards you can take out of the envelopes and read!

And then, aimed at slightly older children is The Secret Mermaid handbook, the Secret Fairy Handbook, Blossom's Teatime Party etc, all by Penny Dann...again there are cards and letters etc to take out of the little envelopes, along with fairy/mermaid accessories. I actually have them from when I was small so they're not available in shops now, but I had a look and they're on amazon and ebay! My children love them

Peppa’s post (3 different versions) all have envelopes to open - not quite books within books but fascinating to littlies.

Again not very seasonal: Dear Father Christmas Get Well Soon by Alan Durant has letters and a recipe to take out and read separately.

Little Bo Peep's Library Book by Cressida Cowell is about Bo Peep losing her sheep and getting advice on where to find them at the library. It's funny, clever and has pull out mini books.

Another out of season suggestion, The Crayon's Christmas is very similar to the Jolly Christmas postman with activities and letters. It's by Oliver Jeffers and our son loves it so much!
