DD is 2.5 and enjoys them. DS (4.3) still likes them a bit, but probably feels he is a bit old for them .

ds1 is 2.5 and he loves them - was too young for them at 2 though

My 14 month old loves them but then so does ds1 who is 4.5 and dd still enjoys some at 6.

I think it depends how you use the books with your child.

My daughter is 2½ and we got the whole series of these books when she was just a few weeks old.

At first she just looked at the pictures and felt the touchy bits. Then she learned to find the mouse on every page. She then started to learn the words. Now she 'reads' the books to her toys and gets them to feel the pages and find the mouse. We also use them as starting points for discussions or making stories together, eg: which penguin do you like the best? Why? Where do you think they're going?

It's a good way to get the best value out of books, by making them last as long as possible by using them in different ways.

I wouldn't buy these books for a child over 2 but you can never be too young for them and they should last well past 2 once you've got them.
