What does your 6 / 7 year old boy read?

Am particularly interested if it's something he can enjoy being read to him and also reading it himself.

He's a summer born boy in Year 2 and has just started to be what I'd call a fluent reader. He's been enjoying the Mr Gum books and Flat Stanley. Flanimal books have been a big hit since he was 6.

We brought this the other week and he thinks it's very funny, I do also
