Murder mystery for tween?

DD loves Murder Most Unladylike and has read them all - she’s 11.5 and I’m trying to find a series that she’d like that isn’t too young for her but also not violent, sexualised etc?!

My dd loves the Scarlet and Ivy books. They're less gruesome than Murder Most Unladylike and she preferrs them for that reason.

Haha I saw the title and came here to suggest Murder Most Unladylike! DD is nearly 13 but has enjoyed some Agatha Christie over the last year - she loved Murder on the Orient Express. She’s also loving books by Kathleen Glasgow but they may be a little old, it’s worth a look.

I was going to suggest Agatha Christie too. I took my daughter to see the author of the Murder most unladylike books give a talk a few years ago, and she said she had loved Agatha Christie growing up.

The Clockwork sparrow series + Pinch of Magic series. DD has just finished the Murder most unladylike series and has moved onto these ones.

Ellie Griffiths “A girl called Justice”( and there are a couple of others in the series) are also set in a 1930’s boarding school.If she likes Murder most unladylike,she should enjoy these.

DD who also loved these has enjoyed Scarlett & Ivy series, The Clockwork Sparrow series (The Sinclair Mysteries) , the eleventh orphan series by Joan Lingard,
