Food themed children's books

I've been asked to recommend food-themed children's books (for age 11-16) for a scheme of work, and I'm looking for inspiration as I don't have any that seem to fit the bill.

The person asking wanted fiction books perhaps linked to food sustainability or supply, or love of food and its benefits. Reaching out in the hope that someone else has an idea?! 🌷

Maybe not quite what you are thinking of but one of the Ramona books by Beverly Cleary has a hilarious chapter where Ramona and her sister have to cook dinner (after criticising their mother's choice of meat). They have to attempt to follow recipes without the proper ingredients, improvise with what food is there... it's one of my favourite Ramona stories.
I think the book is 'Ramona Quimby Aged 8'

Thank you - I've only just spotted your reply! That sounds fun. I ordered a nonfiction 'food stories' book from Amazon but it's tiny! I'll head to the library and see if I can find your recommendation 🌷

Royal Jelly - Roald Dahl nice twist on benefit of food (not one of his young childrens books)
Van Wars - Glasgow ice cream 'wars'
Grapes of Wrath is the classic about farmers and drought (and much more)

I've just seen this, two months on!
Thank you for your great suggestions- Royal Jelly rings a bell - I will re-read it. Might it have been a 'Tale of the Unexpected' too?! It's always good to find new texts to bring into lessons.
