My 11 yr old daughter reads - a lot - and I'm running out of the ideas of what to suggest next! I'm looking for a series - the more bolumes the better- that may get her through the rest of half term. She liked Warrior Cats, Nevermoor, Harry Potter, Murder most unladylike, Abi Elphistone, Katherine Rundell, Pages and co...
Help please!

The lost rainforest (3 books in the series) by Eliot Schrefer.

Who let the Gods out? (4 books in the series) by Maz Evans.

NCAutumn · 19/10/2022 08:33

The chronicles of narnia?

bigbadbarry · 19/10/2022 08:34

My 12 year old and her friends absolutely love the ‘wings of fire’ series

Philip Pullman - either the Ruby in the Smoke series or the excellent His Dark Materials?

Midwinterblues · 19/10/2022 08:41

Michelle Harrison’s books? Can’t remember the series…13 Treasures I think.

Midwinterblues · 19/10/2022 08:43

Also ‘Twist of Magic’ series by Michelle Harrison (might be a bit young?)!

Fivemoreminutes1 · 19/10/2022 08:44

A Series of Unfortunate Events
Scarlet and Ivy
Adventures on Trains
Ruby Redfort
The Cogheart Adventures

Cosmicdreams · 19/10/2022 08:46

At that age my fav author was Darren shan. I'd say not the demonata series as it's a bit more teenage but saga of Darren shan and Archibald lox. Also there's Rick riordans percy Jackson books.

Needmorelego · 19/10/2022 08:48

Alex Rider series by Anthony Horowitz -there's 12 (13?) in the series.
Hetty Feather series by Jacqueline Wilson - 5 books plus 3 connected novels.

BurntoutPanda · 19/10/2022 11:13

Thank you! I'm looking these up now :)

Abhorsen series by Garth Nix.

My 11 year old also devoured the Hunger games trilogy recently although the themes are a bit for older ones.

Has she read the Chrestomanci series by Diana Wynne Jones?

StillNotWarm · 19/10/2022 11:16

Wings of Fire was written by one of the conglomerate who wrote Warrior cats.

hulahoopqueen · 19/10/2022 11:20

I remember being massively into the Maximum Ride series at her age - very age appropriate for early teens/tweens but such an exciting plot and a great variety of well-written female characters.

Ostagazuzulum · 19/10/2022 11:35

The embarrassing world of Lottie brooks. There's three books in that series so far. DD11 read a book in two days as she couldn't put it down

AmberGer · 19/10/2022 11:37

Diana Wynne Jones books!

EvelynBeatrice · 19/10/2022 11:38

What about the Gallagher Girls spy books. Much better than the titles suggest. I enjoyed as much as my daughter.
If you want multi volumes David Eddings The Belgariad series followed by The Mallorean are great. First one in series is Pawn of Prophecy. My daughter devoured these over her last summer before secondary school. About 12 books in total I think.

GrouchyKiwi · 19/10/2022 11:41

Tamora Pierce! Both the Lioness series and the Immortals series are wonderful, and she has written a lot of other series that I've heard great things about, though I was too old for them when they came out. I'm going to get them for my daughters, though.

LiveLaughLoaf · 19/10/2022 12:00

Bit old fashioned but the Dr Doolittle books by Hugh Lofting are currently keeping my 11 year old busy. There’s 4 collected volumes and they’re massive!

InvincibleInvisibility · 19/10/2022 12:47

Maybe try her on Terry Pratchett? Ive never been a fan but my (librarian) mum suggested it for my 11 year old. She said to start with Guards! Guards!

(He hasnt tried it yet, he's read 7 other books since his birthday late September and its still in his pile....)

Pinkbananas01 · 19/10/2022 12:49

Mine all loved the Rick Riordan books at this age, Percy Jackson Greek gods was their fav.

TheBestUsernamesAreGone · 19/10/2022 12:49

The Ruby Redfort series by the author of Charlie and Lola. My DD is enjoying these novels.

StrychnineInTheSandwiches · 19/10/2022 12:59

Emma Carroll has some great kids' historical fiction.

And Catherine Johnson too.

Oh, and Sally Nicholls

BurntoutPanda · 19/10/2022 13:35

This is amazing, thank you all so much. I've ordered some in our library already! Any suggestions for something similar to 'murder most unladylike''?
