Children's book aimed at a bully?

DGS (8) is bullying, and this is being dealt with by DS and school.
I'd like to get him a book to try and help him recognise the effects etc and so that we can talk about it. But I can only find books aimed at the child being bullied - can anyone recommend something?

Have a look at Wonder, but more importantly, its sequel, Auggie and Me. Details here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wonder_(Palacio_novel)

www.amazon.co.uk/Volcano-My-Tummy-Children-Caregivers/dp/0865713499 may be useful if the bullying stems from anger...

Im sure there must be a few books about making friends aimed above preschool age. Maybe they would tackle it from a positive angle? How to be kind. I'd be interested if anyone has suggestions?

Blubber by Judy Blume. The main character starts off as a bully but the tables turn...

Blubber is a great shout, but it's just a bit too old for him, he's a young 8.

Cloudbusting by Mallorie Blackman

The Night Bus Hero by Onjali Rauf is a good one for this - reading age 7+

There's a Boy in the Girls' Bathroom by Louis Sachar. The main character is sort of a bully - he finds school difficult and masks by acting out and saying unkind things (his first line is "give me a dollar or I'll spit on you". Throughout the book he slowly makes friends and starts to try with his schoolwork, although he still has a fear of getting it wrong holding him back. There's one part where he does his homework, then the next morning when they're giving it in he freaks out that he might have done the wrong homework or done it wrong and slowly walks up to the front of the room to the teacher's desk... and puts his work in the bin. I read it to my Y6 class last year and it provoked lots of interesting discussions around friendship and bullying.

My favourite book ever. It always makes me cry.

The Butterfly club by Jaqueline Wilson is good, but pretty much all the characters are girls.
