DD is almost 7 and loves reading. She has a birthday coming up and thinking of asking grandparents for books instead of yet more toys - any recommendations for a good series/author? Things she's loved so far are the Daisy books by Kes Gray, Worst Witch, Horrid Henry, Roald Dahl. She's a good reader and will read independently but still enjoys being read to at night. What have your children loved?

We've just read this as a bedtime book. I'm not sure who enjoyed it more, me or my daughter to be honest Grin lauraellenanderson.co.uk/RAINBOW-GREY

We’ve just finished JK Rowling A Christmas Pig. It was brilliant. I kept sneaking it downstairs myself for a read

The Ramona books by Beverly Cleary. A wonderful read, so clearly written and nuanced and human.

Mr Majeika might be up her street? Or Flat Stanley?
